Note

Elle est élevée à la Cour de France car Louis XI désire qu'elle épouse le Dauphin, le futur Charles VIII. Lorsque celui-ci épouse Anne de Bretagne, elle retourne chez son père.

Elle épouse successivement Juan d'Espagne puis Philibert le Beau de Savoie.

Veuve, elle fait élever le monastère de Brou pour le repos de l'âme de son mari et est nommée gouvernante des Pays-Bas qu'elle administre avec compétence.

Elle joue un grand rôle politique, notamment dans la Paix de Cambrai et dans la signature de la Paix des Dames en 1529, face à Louise de Savoie.
