He married Eberhardine Sophie von OETTINGEN, daughter of Albert Ernest 1er von OETTINGEN and Christine-Frédérique de WURTEMBERG, on May 3, 1685. She was born on August 16, 1666 and died on October 30, 1700 at the age of 34.

She married Frédéric Ulrich von OSTFRIESLAND, son of Edzard Ferdinand von OSTFRIESLAND and Anne Dorothée VON CRIECHINGEN, in 1708. He was born in 1668 and died on March 12, 1710 at the age of 42.
